We’ve upgraded our Community-Supported Market basket program this season and invite you to try our new weekly Harvest Box. It’s the same great value, the same nourishing and delicious local food, and tasty new recipes but with more choice and more flexibility to fit your life.
Each week during the program, we carefully choose from our vendors’ most popular items and create a list for you to choose from. You tell us what you’d like, and we pack it up for you! All of our producers participate and benefit, and you can take home a little bit of the market each week without having to shop around. We also provide recipes each week highlighting your basket goodies. Because we work closely with our vendors to negotiate the lowest fair price, you can expect to get a lot more for your money than simply shopping on your own.
There are two basket types available: the Farmers’ Friend contains all the best, most in-season produce. The Full Market adds meat, eggs, bread, and something sweet each week. Choose from a single basket or buy in groups of five to save; the more weeks you purchase, the more you save!
Choose which dates you want us to pick and pack your basket and we’ll send you an email of what’s available that week. Tell us what you want to take home and we’ll have it ready when you arrive at market. We are also offering delivery for homes within 5 miles of our regular market location. It really doesn’t get much easier than this to eat healthy, local food every week all summer long!
Space is limited and registration and prepayment are required. All baskets must be picked up at the market between 9am and 1pm. If you are unable to pick up your basket, please arrange for someone to pick it up for you as the contents of all leftover baskets will be donated at the market’s discretion. Refunds are not available for unclaimed baskets.
Not ready to commit or just have questions? Call Market Manager Adrienne to learn about other options and get answers to your questions.
Otherwise, click “shop” and take the first step to easy, fresh summer meals!
What is it?
The Community-Supported Market Program, or CSM, is just one of the many ways the KDFM supports local farmers and producers along with community health and well being. Each week during the program, we pack up the freshest, most in-season produce and have it waiting for our members when they arrive at the market! All our producers participate and benefit, and you can take home a little bit of the market each week without having to shop around. We also provide recipes each week highlighting your basket goodies.
If you’ve ever tried one of the many meal services available these days but would rather support local farmers or felt it was too expensive, too limiting or produced too much packaging waste, we invite you to try our all-local CSM program!

What’s the benefit?
Getting a great selection of locally-grown and made food along with simple, tasty recipes your family will love with a convenient weekly pick up saves time while helping you feed your family well and support your local farmers market.
Participating in the basket program benefits local farmers and food producers benefit through easy sales of their goods. Contributing items also gets these vendors’ products into the hands of shoppers who might not otherwise try them and often creates new loyal customers. The CSM program also attracts new, local producers to the KDFM adding more selection, diversity, and local goodness to our market.
